About STEVE NISON

Before Steve Nison came along, Western traders primarily used bar charts as their way to view the markets. With his work as a Senior Vice President at a major Japanese securities firm, Nison began to learn about Japanese Candlestick Charts.  Nison quickly realized that these interesting-looking charts conveyed much more information than standard bar charts. Specifically, candlestick charts often identified key reversals long before bar charts.

He immersed himself in this new-found passion and soon wrote  Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques and  Beyond Candlesticks. Sales of over 75,000 copies, in eight languages, have made these books the holy grail of candlestick analysis around the world.

Nison's work has been highlighted in the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Worth, Institutional Investor, and many other publications around the world. He has appeared numerous times on CNBC, and his segment on FNN (the precursor to CNBC) brought in the most viewers that network ever had.

Nison was among the first to receive the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation from the Market Technicians Association (MTA) and was nominated for the MTA's "Best of the Best" for Price forecasting/market analysis. He holds an MBA in Finance and Investments and was a Senior Technical Analyst at Merrill Lynch and a Senior Vice President at Daiwa Securities.

As a renowned and sought after speaker, Nison has trained professionals in 18 countries and from almost every major investment firm. Nison has spoken before the World Bank and the Federal Reserve, and is an instructor at the New York Institute of Finance. Nison is founder and President of Candlecharts.com.

Mike used his marketing MBA to help Equis International build the market for MetaStock. For eight years, Mike guided the company's image and helped develop it into a world leader that was eventually acquired by Reuters.

Since leaving Equis in 1998, Mike has built a successful direct response marketing business called BONK Marketing. The focus of this company has been helping small and medium sized businesses achieve higher success using proven direct marketing methods.

About JOHN SLAUSON

John wrote the book (literally) on MetaStock. In his 12 years at Equis, John wore a lot of hats including managing technical support, launching and managing the MetaStock Reuters DataLink service, and developing trading systems for many noted analysts including John Bollinger, John Murphy, Steve Nison, and others.  Recently, John created ICE; the most successful MetaStock plugin to-date. John is a founder and officer of Adaptick, Inc., a company that specializes in trading system development and training.

About RIC WAY

Ric began his career co-developing one of the first commercially successful TSR programs for MS-DOS alongside a founding Microsoft employee. From there he went on to create scientific and financial PC software apps that have been co-branded by dozens of OEMs including Hewlett-Packard and AutoCAD. Ric has won Byte Magazine's Best of the Best Utilities and PC-Week's Analyst's Choice awards. Ric is Lead Developer for The TAOS Group where he has developed TA software and web sites for recognized industry experts including Steve Nison and John Ehlers.
